日前，2025年“青少年公益年会杯”大湾区棒垒球邀请赛开赛活动在中山国际棒垒球中心举行。从2020年创办以来，“青少年公益年会杯”大湾区棒垒球邀请赛先后在中山、深圳、香港等地举行，旨在通过体育赛事促进粤港澳大湾区青少年广泛交流、全面发展。6年来共有47支球队，累计超过3000名青少年参与赛事。

本届赛事吸引了粤港澳大湾区16支参赛队参与，覆盖棒球U12、U15、U18，垒球U15共4个组别，分三个阶段进行。350余名青少年选手在中山国际棒垒球中心展开激烈角逐，赛事规模再创历年来新高。

Youth baseball & softball invitational tournament hits a home run

The 2025 Youth Public Welfare Annual Cup Greater Bay Area Baseball and Softball Invitational Tournament kicked off on March 23rd in Xiaolan town, Zhongshan, Guangdong province, attracting over 350 players across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Since its inception in 2020, the tournament has been held in Zhongshan and Shenzhen of Guangdong province as well as in Hong Kong.

The tournament aims to foster deeper exchanges and holistic development among youth through sports. Over the past six years, 47 teams and more than 3,000 young athletes have participated in the event. Zhongshan holds a special place in China's baseball history as the hometown of Liang Fuchu, a pivotal figure who introduced baseball to the country in the early 20th century and is widely revered as the father of baseball in China.
